Mother lost Baby Elephant

.....now he is nine months old........ He is happy and funny in the orphanage .....One day he was integral part of a wild herd in the Nelliyampathy forest-Palakkadu........on one rainy day.....he trapped in landslide....mother tried hard to rescue her son .....but failed....she waited for two days near him.........at last......... local people engaged in action to rescue calf ....first they separated mother from him....then they rescued baby elephant ......they tried help him to go to mother ......unfortunately the mother refused her son......local people have no other choice but to brought him to Elephant Rehabilitation Centre -Kappukadu,Thiruvananthapuram...... Their nursing help this calf healthy,happy, and funny.......i took this snap during the visit this centre.........
